Two voting blocs will be particularly important for Republicans to win in 2012--Evangelicals and Hispanics. Romney seems to have litttle chance of winning the votes of either group.

In a move aimed at saving precious time, money and to cut down on errors Obama announced today he is going to use a new numbering system to identify who he is blaming for whatever problem he is talking about. the number 1 will designate George Bush,2 bankers,3 Wall Street,4 teaparty,5-republicans,6 dem congress members that don't agree with him,7 any foreign power,8 the rich,9 the American people,10. Michelle-yes even she has to take some of the blame ,11-his children ,etc on to infinity. Joe Biden immediately said-"this is really a big deal, I mean Al Gore might have invented the internet, but Obama coming up with a new system of blame, wow, this will probably be our biggest contribution to cuting the deficit on the part of the democratic party, this is something for all of us in the party to aspire to"

That's very creative, bob. I always welcome your comments, but it would be nice if you could say something on topic. So, do you have a favorite? Who do you think that Democrats would most like to see win the Republican nomination and why?

First off So Called Peogressive are a small minority in this great Country. Second Most that call themslves Progressive are truely regressive in nature. In short they really don't matter.

So, how about those Republican candidates? Have an opinion on the subject of the article, mike? I'd just love to hear it.

    "Newt or Mitt?"

They're BOTH weak. Poll after poll shows the president gaining ground all the time. The two GOP "frontrunners" show nothing but the same failed policies of the past, with no new ideas (well, maybe Newton with that ridiculous "permanent moonbase" idea, and here they are calling themselves "conservative").

Progressives will still vote. For President Obama. Look at the alternatives. The GOP "frontrunners" are their own worst enemy. What right-wingers fail to take into account, are the disenfranchised moderates formerly of the GOP, who will also vote for the one candidate who is closest to their political belief - President Obama - A centrist.

The sad fact is, the GOP is shrinking. They are doing it to themselves with all the extremism they are adopting. The country, despite what one hears in places like Fox "news," is that America is still a centrist nation.

NOT the extremist definition of the term, what they are calling "liberals" and "far-left" these days (though those are STILL voting for President Obama, as well). They're not fooling anyone. They just haven't gotten that memo yet.

I'd say that you have a pretty good handle on things. :)
